Christina Yuna Lee, a 35-year-old woman, was returning home from a night out with friends when Assamad Nash, a homeless man with a history of assault and use of synthetic cannabinoids, followed her into her apartment and stabbed her to death.

Benjamin Vasquez Bulux, a 29-year-old man who worked as a cook, was robbed and stabbed to death by Raymond Kenner, a homeless man who had murdered Andrew Cunje just two days earlier.

Guiying Ma, a 62-year-old grandmother, was sweeping the sidewalk in front of her apartment when Elisaul Perez, a homeless man with multiple previous arrests, hit her in the head repeatedly with a rock. Guiying died of her injuries ten weeks later.

Lizseh Casserly, a 32-year-old mother of two, was walking home with a friend from a birthday party when she was stabbed to death by Damari Bowles, a homeless man living in a tent on the street.

Yao Pan Ma, a 61-year-old father of two was collecting cans to help his family get by, when Jarrod Powell, a homeless man with many previous assault arrests, knocked him to the ground and kicked him in the head repeatedly. Yao died of his injuries 8 months later.

Iyan Tarwala, a 26-year-old man, was at work as a salesclerk in a smoke shop when Steven Cohen, a homeless man, shot him twice in the stomach.

Garrett Goble, a 36-year-old father of two and MTA motorman, died when Nathaniel Avinger, a homeless man with a lengthy criminal history, intentionally started a fire in a shopping cart on the train. Garrett was able to evacuate the other passengers but succumbed to the blaze.

Yadira Arroyo, a 44-year-old medic with FDNY and mother of 5, was killed when Jose Gonzalez, a homeless man with schizophrenia who was not taking his medication, hijacked her ambulance and ran over her.
